ILERI is a small, friendly language school located in Escazú, close to the South side mountains of the Central Valley and also close to San José.

Introduction
Institute in picturesque Escazú, Costa Rica, 7 km from San José, the country’s capital. Run by professionals with degrees in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language, ILERI has programs for people of all ages and levels of Spanish fluency. The School director is Leonor Ramirez.

Our teachers

Teachers at ILERI are highly- trained. They are experienced at teaching Spanish as a foreign Language. They are also sensitive to student’s learning needs and have a genuine interest in the students.

Our teachers make students feel that they are visiting friends rather than going to school.
Teachers also take the students to the field trips in order to show the country while they practice their Spanish.

You’ll have the option of staying with a Costa Rican family and learning about the culture.
• Lodging with a Costa Rican family: include laundry service, two meals a day ( breakfast and dinner), It is a costarrican food. If you want different or special meal you have to buy by yourself. The lunch is not include, the student need to buy at the restaurant, supermarket, or little restaurant, that we call “soda”.

Homestay after or during the project:

The student who wants to live with the family after the project has to advise and arrange the lodging through ILERI. If the student does not advise to the school and make the reservation by him or herself, we cancel the contract with the family and the family looses the opportunity to receive more international students.
You can get by taxi, public bus or car. It is surrounded by many restaurants, stores, bars, malls, café internet, gyms, banks and supermarkets. There is a wide variety of bed & breakfast and hotels. It also has an excellent taxi and bus service.
ILERI offers:

Total immersion: Spanish program for two or more weeks.

• 4 hours daily or flexible schedule.
• Small classes. We limit each class to 4 students, emphasizing conversation and grammar.

4 weeks or 28 days: $800
2 weeks or 14 days: $400

Home stay includes lodging and food with a local family (2 meals a day)

Extra day with the family: $15

Payment: The student needs to pay the first day at ILERI or through ACI.
If you bring travel checks, first you have to change at the bank and then you will pay at the school.
