THE ECO CAMPS
ACI created 10 years ago the program named ECO CAMPS, designed to receive volunteers in Costa Rica for short periods of time (two weeks, one, two or three months). ACI-CR receives volunteers from all over the world. People can reach the information about this program through the following organizations:

3-Check Point Travel from Denmark. And through the Internet, to our web page: www.aci-cr.org. Volunteers coming with the Eco Camps program come to work in environmental projects like Conservation Areas, National Parks, Wild Life Refuges, Turtle Projects, etc, where we offer a wide range of different experiences: from creating and maintaining trails in the cloud forests of Monteverde to cultivating medicinal plants in Guápiles; From teaching English to local people to guiding tourists in San Isidro; From patrolling the protected turtle beaches of Gandoca in the Caribbean to rehabilitating and re-releasing wildlife in the Quepos area.... We offer all these projects and much more besides.... Working hours are generally Monday to Friday, depending on the specific project, and accommodation ranges from living with host-families to living with other volunteers in dorms or cabinas. Please note that specific details such as work hours, type of work, living arrangements etc, can only be determined depending on the project. As an aside to our Eco-Projects, we can also offer Spanish language courses in selected schools around the country; in the beach resort of Jacó, for example, or right here in San José. Eco Camps is a program created for:
*people interested to do voluntary service in ecological sites.
*people who can not come to Costa Rica for a long time (like a year)
*people who can choose when to come to Costa Rica and for how long.
*people to choose the amount of money to spend, depending on how long will the stay be.
*people who will be travelling mostly by themselves.
The choice is yours! Requirements to participate:
*Fill up the application form.
*Send completed flight itinerary (arrival date, time, airline, number of flight)
*Send information about for how long will the stay be. Not longer than 3 months.
*Send information about where he or she wants to do the experience (name of the placement/s).
*Do all the payments for lodging and food, plus the ACI fee.
*Be older than 18 years old, but there is not limit or maximum age.
*Make all the application process and send all the required information to ACI - CR at least two weeks before the arrival date to Costa Rica.
